Why is fundraising so important to Holy Cross?

As a small private school, Holy Cross relies on fundraising as part of our budget. Tuition and parish subsidies cover a large part, but not all of the expenses of operating the school are covered.. In addition to tuition payments, we rely on the fundraising efforts of our school families in order to meet annual expenses.

Each family is required to meet an annual fundraising requirement. Of course, many families exceed these minimums by putting in a little extra effort. The whole school becomes stronger when we work together to reach fundraising goals, and we appreciate every family's contribution. 
 

Why should I participate?

In addition to raising necessary funds for our school, fundraising events serve a dual purpose as community-building opportunities. We work together, have fun together, learn to know one another better, and strengthen our commitment to the mission of Holy Cross by serving together. Many events allow families to fulfill both their financial obligation and service obligation.

Family Fundraising Requirements

Fundraising requirements are met through events throughout the year along with donations to the Angel Fund. Marathon, HCCS Raffle, and Crusader Celebration tickets have a base amount to be met. Additional fundraising of amount listed above can be met through various ways:
 
Ways to fulfill “Additional” Fundraising: 
 -Marathon money after required amount 
-Additional HCCS raffle tickets beyond 10 
 -Crusader Celebration tickets beyond 2
 -Sponsorships for Golf, Crusader Celebration, Sporting Clay, etc.
-Monetary donations to Angel Fund, events, or in general
-Tuition raffle at Crusader Celebration
 
 Examples of what does not count as "Additional” Fundraising totals:
 -Donations of an item (only cash donations will count, not items)
 -Registration/entry fees to participate in an event (such as Golf, Sporting Clay, etc.)
 
New fundraising opportunities may arise and will be communicated through the Flocknote messages.

Potential Fees
If you are unable to meet your volunteer commitment to Holy Cross, a $25.00 donation fee will be billed in TADS on May 10th, 2025. Families not raising the amount required for Marathon, Crusader Celebration tickets, or raffle tickets will be billed following the event. Families not raising the annual fundraising requirement will be billed through TADS at the end of the school year.

Ongoing Fundraising

These are programs we use throughout the year to raise funds in small amounts each week. Many of them work with your family shopping and purchase patterns so they are easy to manage.

Special Event Fundraising

These are annual fundraising events for the entire school community's participation. Funds raised for these events may contribute toward each family's fundraising requirement.

• Holy Cross Catholic School Raffle (HCCS Raffle) 
• Crusader Celebration (Tuition Raffle)
• Sporting Clay Tournament (Sponsorships only, not participant fees)
