Favorite Saint and why:  St. Catherine of Siena- she had but one goal in her heart and that was to serve the Lord. She was so diligent in every aspect and a little bit rebellious (but in a wonderful way).

Favorite Free Time Activity:  I enjoy being outdoors doing anything-gardening, kayaking with my kids, reading, and walking my dogs, Ralph and Ella.

Favorite Moment at HCCS:  Always the first day of school! It's so exciting to see the students and staff again.

Favorite Children's Book:  The Little House on the Prairie Series

Favorite Place In Minnesota:  French Lake

Qualities Your Favorite Teacher Possessed:  Mr. Davis was able to teach math in a way everyone could understand. He would laugh with us and ask us about our weekend. I still use many of his teaching strategies today in my own math classes. 

When/how you knew you wanted to work in education:  In second grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and as I progressed through school the calling kept getting stronger. 

Education:  BS in Elementary Education, Middle School Math Endorsement, and Coaching Licensure from St. Cloud State University, MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Hamline University, and STEM Certification from St. Catherine's University.
