Favorite Saint and why: My favorite saint is Saint Benedict because of his teachings on the importance of community and listening. These are two Benedictine values that I use to guide my everyday life. 
Favorite Free Time Activity: I love to run, swim, and read. I also spend a lot of free time with my family. 
Favorite Moment at HCCS: I don’t have any favorite moments yet, but I am excited to experience some at HCCS.

Qualities Your Favorite Teacher Possessed: My favorite teacher was organized, knowledgeable in science and education, flexible, and was genuinely interested in the lives of her students. 

When/how you knew you wanted to work in education: When I was a senior in high school I was a teaching assistant for a biology class and taught a few lessons; after that, I decided I definitely wanted to teach secondary science. 

Education: BA in Biology and Secondary Education from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University.
