Holy Cross welcomes Linda Eilen as its Exceptional Learning Coordinator. Linda is coming to us after serving for 40 years with the Minneapolis Public School system.
She has done just about everything in MSP, including 25 years as a classroom teacher in grades k-5, 3 years as a Title I Coordinator and tutor for grades K – 5, and 8 years in administration as a building, district, and Teacher Advancement Program Mentor; Literacy Coordinator, and Staff Development facilitator for grades Pre-school - 8.
Linda has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State Mankato.
She is currently transitioning from her home and parish in Burnsville to the Church of the Immaculate Conception and new home in Lonsdale. She is also passionate about her Catholic faith and service to others.
Delano, MN is Linda's hometown. She grew up the second oldest of eight, and has five brothers and two sisters. Her brother, Fr. Eilen served as the priest for 3 years at Immaculate Conception in Marysburg and Nativity in Cleveland. Linda has a large extended family in the New Prague, Belle Plaine, New Market, and the surrounding areas. Along with Linda and Dean's 5 children, two grandsons, seventeen nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and untold numbers of cousins, family gatherings are fun and lively.
Mrs. Eilen will teach Monday through Thursday all day. We’re looking forward to having her teach our striving readers and mathematicians, and be a presence in our school to help implement our vision for extraordinary academic gains for all of our students.
