A critical ingredient of our school success is the support of our community, both in the classroom and in the general functioning of our school.
Private schools generally have a far higher degree of parent involvement, participation, and school governance than traditional schools because we depend on parent volunteers to fill gaps and strengthen our operations. We also know that parental involvement means betters schools. Hundreds of research studies point to the same results. When parents are involved in their children's education, good things happen: student grades go up, their test scores rise and behavior improves.
Our parents are encouraged to be involved in the day-to-day school activities at Holy Cross and are welcome in the school and in classrooms, whether visiting or volunteering. Holy Cross knows that parental involvement also empowers parents by providing each family with a greater stake in our school’s success.
Volunteer Involvement
In an effort to build a strong school community, Holy Cross Catholic School families commit to a donation of time to a variety of fundraising and community sponsored events. Families commit to volunteering a minimum of 10 hours at a choice of several opportunities inclusive of:
If you are unable to meet your volunteer commitment to Holy Cross, a $20.00 donation fee per missed hour will be added to your tuition.
